Jack Rosewell

Jack was one of the people instrumental in re-establishing the TVSC after the Second World War. He also led the negotiations with Walton & Weybridge UDC to obtain the lease to the premises that TVSC now occupy. The premises when TVSC took it over had been previously a swimming club and then used by the council to store their gardening equipment and supplies. Jack Rosewell, who was a builder, supervised the conversion and latterly the building of the boathouse.

He was a renowned skiff technician and fantastic coach.

He was TVSC captain form 1954-1956 and 1958, president form 1958-1974. In recognition of his services to the club TVSC named a double skiff after him.

Jack organized the Doubles Marathon on behalf of the SRA for 20 years.
